Dallas Clark is a former
professional American football player who played as a tight end in the National
Football League (NFL) for 11 seasons. He was born on June 12, 1979, in Sioux
Falls, South Dakota, and grew up in Livermore, Iowa. Clark attended the
University of Iowa, where he played college football and set several records as
a tight end.
In 2003, Clark was selected by the
Indianapolis Colts in the first round of the NFL Draft. He played for the Colts
from 2003 to 2011 and was a key member of the team's Super Bowl XLI
championship squad in 2007. Clark also earned Pro Bowl honors in 2009.
After leaving the Colts, Clark played
for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2012 and the Baltimore Ravens in 2013 before
retiring from the NFL. In his career, he caught 505 passes for 5,665 yards and
53 touchdowns. Clark is considered one of the most prolific pass-catching tight
ends of his era and is widely respected for his work ethic and dedication to
the game.
